Application Process:

Our Recruitment Advisors will invite you to attend an informal interview at one of our 3 centres and guide you through the application process, application form as well as help produce a CV and arrange interviews with prospective employers.

Advice and Guidance:

First College offers a free Information and Advice service to all potential and current learners. We have been awarded the quality standard Matrix Award for IAG services.

Our team of Advisors will provide impartial accurate and up to date information on opportunities, progression routes, choices, where to find help and advice and how to access it.

Funding / Financial Costs:

All Apprenticeship courses for 16 – 18 year olds are fully funded and partially funded for 19 – 23 year olds. If you are aged 24+ and looking to start a course at Level 3 or above you may still qualify for an apprenticeship. If you don't qualify You may apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

NUS Apprentice Extra Card

If you are an Apprentice, you may apply for the NUS Apprentice Extra Card. The card provides you with discounts at many high street stores and retail partners. Apply here www.apprenticeextra.co.uk

Learner Protection and Safeguarding Policy

First College Board of Trustees and Management are determined to ensure all necessary steps are taken to safeguard any children, young or vulnerable persons from harm during their learning within First College premises or during learning on Employers premises organised by First College with approved sub-contractors.

Learning Support and Disability Statement

We hope to help you make your learning with First College as successful as possible. Our aim is to assist you to achieve your personal, educational and employment goals. Our intention is to demonstrate the support that we can provide to assist those disabled learners and those with special needs, to access learning opportunities at First College.
